Guest Speaker: Breanna is in her fourth year at Western University completing an Honours Specialization degree in Health Sciences. She chose a general module rather than selecting one of the other 4 areas of study offered in the BHSc program in order to develop a holistic perspective of health. In doing this, she has been able to take courses with focuses ranging from mental health and health management to rehabilitation sciences and more. At Western, she has volunteered as an English Conversation Program Facilitator through the International and Exchange Student Centre and has been a yearlong orientation leader (“Soph”) assisting first-year students in their transition to university. She has become familiar with many resources and activities available on campus such as wellness resources, intramurals, and student governance.
